Mamiya C3 and C330 Single Exposure Attachment Instructions – English and Japanese

Here for your convenience – These are the instructions for the single exposure attachment for the Mamiya C3 and the Mamiya C330, the Mamiya C330f, C330s, and similar cameras. I think the second version may work on the C220 and earlier cameras as well. These documents reflect the instructions for the first and second version of the attachment respectively. There were two versions made – one for the earlier models of camera, C2 / C3, etc. and then this one. The plate/film holders are backward compatible (meaning the later ones can be used on the earlier attachment for the C3, but not the other way around) but otherwise the two are not interchangeable. I’ve included the English language instructions as well as the Japanese version in case these would be useful to you. I have not always been able to find these documents online when I needed them, so now I’m posting them in case you are in the same predicament.

I use this item to shoot plates and sheet film on the C330. It works quite well, although I’ve had some trouble in past with the setting on the camera which switches between single and multiple exposures. I will write more about this some time as I think I have figured out why this happens, but the subject requires much more explanation that I would like to give here. Suffice to say, I now have one camera body which I use exclusively for plates and sheet film, and a number of others which I use for roll film. In general, these cameras are extremely robust. They are made mostly of metal, or entirely so up until the C330f and C330s. They do not break easily, and they have survived their years on this planet well. But, as with most old cameras, you get unusual things happening, and this is probably to be expected.

Please note – I do not own the rights to these documents. If you are the rights holder and you want me to take them down, please contact me and I will do so without objection. My aim here is only to make available for public use information which is otherwise unavailable or hard to find. I do not seek to profit from this in any way whatsoever. This information is quite old and hard to find, so I’m only trying to help others out.
